Mötley Crüe kicked off the evening, bestowing on Irvine the dual blessings of both hard rock and watching middle aged men play hard rock. It's also nice to see Vince Neil working in a medium more comfortable for him than television. If there's enough fan support in this to keep Vince off the T.V., we can chalk that up as a win-win.
