7. DJ Toys
I know this is going to make me sound like an old man, but there was a time when DJ's spun these things called vinyl records on these things called belt-drive or direct-drive turntables, which kind of resemble the turntables most digital DJ's use now in about the same way that the Wright Brothers' original airplane kind of resembles the Starship Enterprise. And while I fully understand that in many ways a relatively simple digital system actually helps young DJ's save money by not having to amass a gigantic record collection, I also know that when your live show involves something called a KAOSS PAD that looks like it could be used to nuke Russia from orbit, you're dropping some coin on your setup. Again, this is a good thing. All spending stimulates the economy.
