Meanwhile, back on the main stage, British rockers Bloc Party put on a extremely well-received show, earning the love of the audience for a live instrumental performance that (along with Miike Snow's live performance from just before) felt like a refreshing change of pace from the steady stream of soundboards and laptops. Obviously, this was not a crowd that looks down on the Lords of the Laptop, but the sizable ribbon of hipsters and non-ravers in attendance seemed to appreciate the headlining spot of honor being given to an act that not only owns guitars but also knows how to use them.
