"Best $2k I Ever Spent!" Fitted Hats Vs. Nobel Prizes

There are any number of ways to acknowledge those who spend their time and money doing good in the world: Nobel Prizes, Fellowships, Sean Penn biopics.  If you're the kind of person that might someday receive these honors, we salute you. But we don't get it.

Did you pay your own way through college, first in your family? Did you scrimp and save so that cousin Timmy could have a functioning kidney? We respect these things. We do. We just happen to know more about the whole "$2000 limited-edition fitted hat" thing. Let's see if, with the help of some photos from the New Era 90th Anniversary Party, we can show you a few more things we know that that fussy Nobel committee doesn't.

Much respect to the Nobel Committee banquet, which we're sure is a blast, but we're guessing they didn't let Barack Obama do a Sake Bomb after he accepted his award.

We actually have no freaking clue what's going on in this picture, except to say that we're fairly sure The Mad Hatter here would NOT be allowed in the front door of the Nobel ceremony. In Los Angeles, for all we know, he owns the building, and that's cool.
