Margie Livingston: Objectified
Although Margie Livingston considers herself primarily a painter, she stretches her artistic limits from canvas and flat surfaces to create an extension of her creative work. Using construction and carpentry tactics and ideas, she forms "paint objects' and uses space, light, color, and gravity to transform the conventional, flat, structural usage of acrylics into three dimensional sculptures. Using up to two gallons of paint to make one single layer, she usually comes across her projects by accident and experimentation while folding, layering, and rolling up sheets of acrylics into different shapes.
