We're looking for freelance writers for Guest of a Guest Los Angeles to generate unique, engaging and eye-grabbing content. This person should have fresh ideas, prior experience writing in the online media space, an ability to churn out posts quickly and posses a firm understanding of GofG's editorial aesthetic and beat. The right candidate will both pitch trends and interview ideas and be assigned content from our editorial calendar. Sample topics include nightlife openings such as Warwick, Black, etc, round-ups of trends in fashion, cuisine and cocktail culture, such as ‘best Coachella tribal swimwear’, ‘8 best beachside restaurants’, interviews with tastemakers and personalities such as John Terzian, Grey Malin, etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing and writing unique content
Building traffic and incoming links via well-written viral pieces
Creating an identifiable persona and tone that contributes to the evolution of GofG
The ideal candidate should (have/be):
Prior experience writing for online media
Comfortable working in a fast-paced content generation environment
Competent and proficient with computers including word processing (MSWord / Google Docs), social media tools, online publishing software, Wordpress, basic html, etc.
Love to write and generate unique content
Familiarity with GofG's beat in L.A.
Detail-oriented + Deadline oriented
