Camilla attended their wedding and Diana was not pleased
As seems to be the tradition in the British royal family, Charles's ex was, oddly enough, a guest at his and Diana's fairy tale wedding in July 1981. When recalling the day in an interview 10 years later, Diana revealed the devastating effect of her presence.
"I knew she was in there, of course. I looked for her," Diana explained to her biographer, Andrew Morton in 1991. "So walking down the aisle, I spotted Camilla, pale gray, veiled pillbox hat... saw it all, her son Tom standing on a chair. To this day you know—vivid memory."
