Sunday, June 3rd: 1,000 Boat Flotilla
After a day at the races, the royals (and thousands of people hoping to get a glimpse of them) headed to the Thames river where a 1,000 boat flotilla (the largest in England in 350 years) took off from the Battersea Bridge and floated down the Thames. The tower bridge was even opened to allow the royal barge-- on which the Queen and Prince Philip, along with Will, Kate, and Harry rode-- through. The entire Middleton family was invited to take part in the procession, and
Pippa, brother James, and parents Carole and Mike sailed in another boat, aptly named the Elizabethan. The flotilla was Pippa's first public appearance since her Parisian
gun scandal.
