Last Saturday marked the thirteenth annual DONT (sic) WALK Charity Fashion Show in St Andrews, Scotland. Perhaps best known as the event where Prince William first called Kate 'hot', DONT WALK has raised over $200,000 for various charities since its inception in 2001.
This year DONT WALK was supporting two charities: ANICHRA (African Network against Illiteracy, Conflict and Human Right's Abuse), which aims to stem hostilities between Anglophones and Francophones in Cameroon, and CWWPP (Coalition for Work With Psychotrauma and Peace), a Croatia-based charity which aims to alleviate the mental suffering of those involved in the war in the former Yugoslavia.
Roughly 1,000 guests braved the bitter Scottish winds to enjoy champagne and cocktails, while beautiful co-eds walked the runway featuring designs by Arjan B, MOEVA and Topman. In typical DONT WALK fashion, the show was split into two halves - the first showcasing dramatic gowns and flirty dress, and the second welcomed the infamous lingerie portion of the show. After the show finished, the party really started as guests danced the night away to the musical stylings of Berlin-based deep house DJ, Andre Crom.
