Summer Fashion Faux Pas, What Not To Do

by Chelsea Burcz · July 12, 2011

Summer is the time to let loose and have your personal style really shine through. But what happens when your "style" is just plain bad? Here are some summer fashion don'ts, so you can avoid being a party faux pas.

    1. So it's hot out, I get it, but that doesn't mean you are allowed to wear clothing that's too small for you. It makes you look out of proportion. Take Kellan Lutz for example:

    This is Baby Gap status!

    2. Getting dressed for whatever event you are going to while pre-gaming at the same time is a common practice; we all do it. But it's when you are wasted and getting ready at the same time that fashion disasters can happen. Like these two for example:

Funny while drunk and getting dressed, not as funny in the photo the next morning...

Or when you decide to dress like your favorite beer to show how much you like to party...

    3. Remember the "too small" rule? Ok, well it also applies to stripping down. I don't care how hot it is outside, your shirt can stay on...

I think you are missing something...

    4. Every once and a while someone hops on a fashion trend and takes it to that next level. Introducing the "uber prep"...

Just take it down a notch, ya know?

    5. And of course, there's always just the straight up wacky - those who abandon the social norms and never look back. It's almost like everyday is Halloween. See here how the Leatherman doesn't mind he looks completely out of place at Love Heals event...

It's his hat of choice, and ain't nobody gonna stop him...

This isn't an outfit. Good try.

A tie and a hat doesn't make it an outfit, a valiant effort however.
