[Photo via EHP] Hopefully this East Hampton home will still be standing next summer. More often than not, it is the west coast that reports on coastal homes being in imminent danger from erosion and therefore collapsing. But news like that from the east coast, especially the Hamptons, is far less common. Unfortunately, this house is located at Louse Point in East Hampton and is in grave danger of future storm surges and eventually collapsing... However, due to a recent vote taken by the East Hampton Town Trustees the owner of his home may be allowed to construct a revetment to prevent future erosion of the bluff that the home is presently located atop of. The main problem with the revetment is its potential negative ecological impact. Stay tuned for further updates on this Louse Point home.
