via ny.guestofaguest.com City clubs might dot the Hamptons. But you need to remember where to get your moves on when the LIE is too much to bear. Sunday Best is one killer option.
Just as the first whiff of humidity weaves its way through NYC, Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin have announced the lineup for their sublime Sunday Best daytime dance parties. Starting May 30th, serious DJ heat will get people moving along the pristine banks of the Gowanus. Start planning now.-
It figures that the Gowanus Canal's designation as a Superfund site this winter would somehow make this party, located by the water at the BKLYN Yard, even more unmissable. No such thing as bad publicity, I 'spose, and to a certain subset of the New York party scene, the more post-industrial edge the better.
Sunday Best had been gathering steam already, culminating in its inclusion in a Times piece on resurgent tea parties–P.S.1's Warm Up being another prominent one–last summer. Anyway, the roster of guest spinners joining residents Harkin and Carter is impressive, and will doubtless bring the dancing masses back under the shindig's alfresco disco ball.
