    Song: You're So Vain

Fridays are good for those classic songs - you know the ones I mean. The ones that come on the radio, or on at the bar, and everyone just looks at each other and their eyes light up, because they know every word, because the lyrics are so good, and how could you not sing them? This is exactly one of those. Even though it was a big hit in the 70s, "You're So Vain" conjures up images from the overindulgent 80s era, with its talk of yachts and lear jets. And whether you think of Kate Hudson's karaoke version of the song in How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Missy Elliot and Janet Jackson's late 90s rendition, or you can just relate to the lyrics, everyone loves this one - even 35 years later.

You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive Well you said that we made such a pretty pair And that you would never leave But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and...

I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and... Well I hear you went up to Saratoga and your horse naturally won Then you flew your lear jet up to Nova Scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun Well you're where you should be all the time And when youre not youre with Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend Wife of a close friend, and...
