This past weekend, I along with everyone else, was at Super Saturday, the annual benefit raising money for Ovarian Cancer. The benefit works like this: designers donate clothes, east enders buy tickets to buy the donated clothes (at greatly reduced prices), and charity wins. Perhaps you saw the taxis directly transporting people from train and jitney stops. Or perhaps you didn’t. If you did not happen to make it to the tents, here is how it went down:
I escorted my friend Jessica, who represented her family’s foundation (The Shanken Family Foundation). The female selection was decent. Male selection slim to none (although, I still managed to find a pair of Pumas by Alexander McQueen). After the preview hour, we cashed out. It got a little crazy with the Jill Zarins of the world fighting over Scoop and Nanette Lepore.
