[Photo by flickr] Chug This. Okay, well for your safety near the pool don't actually chug this, but a Gin Bucket is always a fun drink to have while lounging poolside. A GofG reader recently suggested this recipe saying that the best part of the bucket is, "the flavors mask the taste of gin so by your second or third drink you are already wasted...makes for an interesting day by the pool now, doesn't it?" Ingredients and directions below:
INGREDIENTS:
2 handles of gin (your favorite brand)
48 oz. already made lemonade
64 oz. sprite
32 oz. orange soda
32 oz. orange juice
3 limes
3 lemons
3 oranges
1 bag of ice
Large bucket/cooler
DIRECTIONS:
Cut up the limes, lemons, and oranges into wedges.
Pour the gin, lemonade, sprite, orange soda, orange juice in the bucket.
Mix with a large spoon
Squeeze the lemon, lime, and orange wedges into the mixture and then throw into the bucket
Add in the ice and stir again
Enjoy
* To make a single serving of this bucket the recipe calls for: 2 shots gin, 3 oz. sprite, 3oz, orange juice, 3oz. of orange soda, squeezed lemon and lime.
