Montauk Point Lighthouse, Montauk.
Also known as the oldest lighthouse in New York State, this beautiful landmark was authorized by the second congress, under President George Washington in 1792. Construction first began in June of 1796 and was completed November of the same year. Standing over 100 feet tall, this lighthouse is still active and an essential spot to visit during your summer vacation.
