SummerDocs makes its return to the Hamptons this weekend, and we are so excited! Sure those big blockbuster hits are fun. I mean, I can't deny it, I love me some 'Hangover' Bradley Cooper and I am giddy with anticipation of Ryan Reynolds in 'The Green Hornet', but the SummerDocs series offer something different. The festival is known to offer films that express new voices and perspectives with the hope of the series is inspire and enlighten audiences and budding filmmakers
This weekend the SummerDocs kicks off Saturday evening at 8pm with 'BUCK' at Guild Hall in East Hampton. The documentary is described as a true American story about an unsung hero. The film made waves at the Sundance Film Festival this past winter winning the Audience Award. 'BUCK' will be opening June 17th.
Although our main man Alec Baldwin will be returning as host for the series, James Lipton will host the festival's opening. First-time director and executive producer of the film Cindy Meehl, Karen Arikian, Stuart Suna and David Nugent of the Hamptons International Film Festival will all be in attendance and participating in the question/answer portion of the screening.
