And just like that, it's July.

While the pessimist in us may feel like summer's basically already over, the professional partygoer in us knows the best is actually yet to come!

Pack your party dress and head out East because The Hamptons social calendar is officially in full swing. And like, god do people love this whole Midsummer thing...

    PARRISH ART MUSEUM MIDSUMMER DANCE
    Friday, July 12th

Calling all ye youths, Co-Chairs Laurence Milstein and Kendall Werts invite you for a lively evening of drinks and a sweat-breaking, shoe-losing spin around the dance floor to the tunes of DJs Angel + Dren to kick off the Parrish Art Museum's annual weekend-long Midsummer celebration.

Don't let the sophisticated ensembles fool you - these people are sharks ready to shop!

Mull about Mulford Farm at the East Hampton Antiques & Design Show's exclusive preview party before the public picks it through. Scoop up all of the fabulous home and garden finds you desperately need between sips and a smattering of chit chat with some of The Hamptons biggest aesthetes and tastemakers.

    LONGHOUSE MIDSUMMER DREAM

There are garden parties, and then there are Garden Parties.

Explore the whole of LongHouse Reserve's 16-acre estate - a bucolic, green-filled oasis peppered with surprising art installations - at the Imagination benefit. Expect pop-up performances, and a sophisticated supper followed by dancing and dessert.

GOD'S LOVE WE DELIVER MIDSUMMER NIGHT DRINKS
    Saturday, July 20th

So many midsummer parties, so little time...

RSVP for the 23rd Annual Midsummer Night Drinks event benefitting God’s Love We Deliver. Last summer, the soirée was held at the picture perfect home of Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. Curious who will be graciously opening up their chic doors this year, welcoming guests for an evening of cocktails, live music, carnival-themed entertainment, yard games, special surprises and more?

    GUILD HALL SUMMER GALA
    Friday, August 2nd

Ah, an East Hampton social calendar staple - the Guild Hall Summer Gala.

The beloved museum and performing arts center has lots to celebrate - and continue to raise money for - following its recent remodel. Guests will be treated to a first view of Julian Schnabel's new exhibition, followed by drinks, dinner, dancing and a surprise performance all - for the first time - held on-site across the Guild Hall's museum, theatre and gardens.

    SURFRIDER'S ONE OCEAN GALA
    Saturday, August 10th

If you're only coughing up cash for one big to-do out East this summer, make it One Ocean Gala benefitting the Surfrider Foundation.

First, it's an exclusive evening of craft cocktails, live music, an amazing art auction, and a seated dinner at Montauk gem The Crow's Nest. That should be enough said right there, but I'll continue. Second, it's got an annoyingly cool host committee - Liev Schrieber, Cynthia Rowley and Selby Drummond, Monica Zwirner... Third, it's all for a most wonderful, Hamptons-appropriate cause, supporting Surfrider's mission to protect the world's oceans, waves and beaches.

    EAST HAMPTON LIBRARY'S AUTHORS NIGHT
    Saturday, August 10th

Authors from a range of genres will be mixing and mingling with guests at the East Hampton Library's 19th Annual Authors Night fundraiser.

After you've had all of your favorite books autographed, you'll peel off to dine at one of the many individual dinner parties being held in honor of each of the authors at private homes across town. Fun, no?

    ARF BOW WOW MEOW BALL
    Saturday, August 17th

It's time to party for the pups!

Since opening its doors 50 years ago, ARF has saved tens of thousands of animals. This summer, support their amazing work at their Bow Wow Meow Ball. There will be dinner by Olivier Cheng, music by the Peter Duchin Orchestra, and - perhaps most importantly - a parade of animals!
