By all means, if you've something more magical planned for this Saturday evening than enjoying cocktails and fresh summery fare under the maple trees at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett, do feel free to ignore the following. But alas, I digress, since you 100% don't have anything chicer on the schedule.
Lidey Heuck, assistant to Ina Garten (AKA Barefoot Contessa), NY Times Cooking contributor, and all around amazing recipe blogger (remember these ice cream sandwiches!?), will be catering the one-night-only, very special, Fete in The Field affair this weekend to help raise funds to support all of the farm’s food education programs. Settle in for an evening of Wölffer Wine (it is the Hamptons, so duh), West Robins oysters, original artwork by the fashion world's favorite artist Meredith Wing of @moomooi, and seasonal dishes prepared by Lidey such as Sungold Gazpacho, Tomato & Eggplant Crostini, and Street Corn Salad.
