17th Annual Montauk Art Show On The Green

Culture was oozing out of Montauk this weekend as the Montauk Art Association put on their 17th Annual Art Show on the Green.  Artists from across the country (even one from Tibet!) came all the way to the tiny Hampton hamlet to showcase their work to Hamptons art enthusiasts and potential buyers.

All showing artists had to be inducted into the Art Association and also had to be approved by a panel of judges to ensure their work was indeed fine art and not just a "craft".  Thus, the chosen presenters at the event were among some of the very best.

Sculptors, jewelry designers, painters, and photographers all convened on the green under private tents to present their work.  With all the foot traffic traipsing through the village, it was easy to stop by and browse the many artsy collections, therefore making the show an undeniable success.
