The Ironically Chic Stubbs And Wooton Feels At Home In East Hampton

by Dena Silver · August 3, 2012

Just in time to catch the last crowds of the Hamptons, and perfect outfits that easily transition from summer to fall, Stubbs & Wooton has opened up a clean, white boutique on the corner of East Hampton's Main Street. The space, which has previously housed a number of retail shops in the past, including Joe Fresh, is a long white corridor punctuated with a collection of preppy loafers which blend in well in the Hamptons, but are ironic enough to be worn on the streets of New York as well.

The handmade slippers will transition well not only from summer to fall and Hamptons to city, but also from day to night. A pair of the velvet flats will look chic with jeans and a tee, and cool with a flouncy skirt and lipstick for dinner.

A favorite of celebs from the Man Repeller's Leandra Medine to Olivia Palermo and even Kanye West, these shoesies are seriously rad. Their election season flats, with a republican elephant and a democratic donkey are fitting if you are undecided this year, and their witty "screw you" flats are a great way to show a little attitude.
