Gabe is a photo journalistic approach to the coffee table book as it aesthetically reveals the life of teen-vagrant, Gabe Nevins. Nick Haymes met his muse, Gabe Nevins, at an editorial shoot after Nevins's lead role in
Gus Van Sant's film,
Paranoid Park. The photo book,
Gabe, exposes four years of photos that Haymes shot of Nevins. The images reveal Nevins during his highs, and lows, and offers intimate insights into the life of a American teen living in society's margins.
