The only person in Montauk capable of pulling off a backyard yard sale, complete with a celebrity runway show is the go-to vintage man of the town: Bob Melet. Owner of Melet Mercantile, a vintage favorite of ours, and countless other models, designers, and actresses.
Bob's yard sale drew a rather large crowd of shoppers, who clearly knew just what to expect: an impeccable selection of clothing, accessories and a collection of second-hand home goods that would add something special to any room in the house.
[Waris Ahluwalia, Cynthia Rowley, Sunny Melet]
The crowd stuck around for the highlight of the afternoon: the fashion show! A wide variety of models that ranged in age and size presented vintage styles of all sorts, from winter wear to summer gear. Just who stole the show though seems to be unsure though. Waris Ahluwalia, donning a pink skirt escorted a very white Cynthia Rowley down the runway followed by Bob's daughter, Sunny, who worked it in bandeau top and a high waisted skirt.
