Tomorrow, I'll be 24 years old (Wow?). While this is neither old nor young, it's good to hear where other women stand on the process of aging (or staying young) - no matter where in their lives they are. In I feel Bad About My Neck And Other Thoughts On Being A Woman (which a male friend of mine recommended, actually), the author, Nora Ephron, talks about getting older in a humorous manner that even if you can't relate to quite yet, you just know someday you will - and she makes it seem a lot more tolerable... With chapters like "I Hate My Purse" and "Considering the Alternative", she shells out advice and wisdom while keeping the reader laughing along the way. So while reading a book about a complaining middle-aged woman sounds far from something to put on your priority list for beach reading (I cringed at first when I heard the concept), have a little faith in this one - it's well worth the time spent.
