Fact 5: She's More Than Just A Designer
Find it hard to believe after that long list of accomplishments you just read that there could be more? Well so did we until we discovered that fashion is just the first of many of Wales Bonner's modes of expression. In conjunction with Ditto Press, she released the first two volumes of her bi-annual publication, Everything for Real. Each volume was paired with a different collection of hers, and explored African culture and black history as a whole, as well as black love and politics, with collaged historic images and moving poetry. She also performed in the Serpentine Marathon curated by Hans Ulrish Obrist. There is nothing this girl cannot do.
