Sophie Dahl's Racy Ads For YSL

3. Sophie Dahl's 2000 ad campaign for YSL's fragrance, Opium, generated 948 complaints, landing it a not-so-coveted spot in Britain's Advertising Standards Authority list of the 10 most complained advertisements. Oddly enough, Opium (the drug) was not subject to complaint.
The ASA stated, "the YSL image was "sexually suggestive and, in an untargeted medium, likely to cause widespread offence".
