Mad Men

Mad Men Career
Keirnan has been playing Don and Betty Draper's (Jon Hamm and January Jones) daughter, Sally Draper, since the first season of the AMC hit Mad Men, and like the character she plays on the show, 12-year-old Kiernan is wise beyond her years. Though she initially joined the cast as a recurring guest star, Kiernan was upgraded to a series regular at the beginning of season 4. Before her promotion, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2008 and 2009. She recently chatted with the Huffington Post, offering some insight into the upcoming season, though she was careful not to reveal too much. In the interview, Kiernan hinted about Sally entering her teenage years, saying
"We definitely will see some more of Sally growing up this season"
She also spoke about what she'd like to see happen to Sally during the 5th season:
"I'd love to see Sally really go into the city more ... kind of just go there on her own and explore Manhattan. I think that'd be really fun. Maybe do some shopping. I don't know ... maybe Sally would become a tour guide. [Laughs.]"
