In December of 2011, The Weeknd released his third mixtape Echoes of Silence via his website the-weekend.com. Due to overwhelming traffic, the site momentarily crashed.
Among the 9 tracks on Echoes, is a cover of none other than Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana, which has garnered beyond positive reviews, with John Norris of MTV.com referring to him as the greatest talent since the King of Pop himself.
While others are trying to seduce you to jump in the whip, take you back to the crib, and show you how it is, The Weeknd is something we could all look forward to.
If that isn't enough to convince you to be a fan, take a few minutes out of your day and watch this reaction video from music enthusiast (emphasis on enthusiast) Big Quinn.
The mixtape is so audibly overwhelming, Quinn has to take a break for a sandwich, while astutely observing, "Yo, who hurt him, man? Who hurt 'em?"[Photo via]
