Are You A Poor, Underprivileged NYU Student?

No, of course you aren't. Those don't really exist. Too bad, though, because Carla Bruni-Sarkozy thinks you could benefit from an art-based scholarship in Paris.

The former supermodel traveled to New York on Monday in hopes of meeting some of those "underprivileged students" who she plans on whisking away from Manhattan.

Carla celebrated the commencement of The Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation at an intimate morning gathering on Monday. After mingling with guests, Carla (reluctantly) hit the hard streets of New York University and The Julliard School.

You know, NYU students have got it bad--They're forced to walk from their dorm (with views of the Empire State Building), across the entire spans of Washington Square Park, just to get to their class five minutes away. Oh, and those limos that whisk students from Juliet to Tenjune? Entirely less-than-par...

Such students' hardships are difficult to come by--and Carla, so inspired by the students' work, plans on saving them from their horrors.

Through the funding of an American donor, the Clarla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation will provide scholarships for students who attend New York University and The Juliard School (because they're totally needed). The exchange program, between New York and Paris, is devoted to the arts.

Things we've learned about Carla Bruni-Sarkozy:

She thinks New York is great because it is, "a world city."

NYU and Juliard students are completely underprivileged and need scholarship money to study in Paris (where their parents either own one, or two, apartments).

She is not yet divorced from Nicolas Sarkozy (the French President).

She is till considered "eye candy."

She plans on saving the world one NYU student at a time.
