The Flannel
The Flannel
The flannel is the staple piece of a grunge wardrobe, borrowed from the lumberjacks and cowboys of an earlier time. Kurt Cobain, the godfather of grunge, pioneered this look because he did not care what people thought of him, and nothing is more laid back and comfortable than a broken-in flannel. Today, to wear a flannel is a purposeful way of exuding an "I don't care attitude," whether it's worn as a shirt or around the waist.
